Diane Hall est marchande d’art non occidental et de textiles anciens depuis plus de 35 ans. Elle a débuté sa carrière comme stagiaire chez la maison de ventes Butterfield & Butterfield à San Francisco, puis a poursuivi ses études à Londres dans le programme de troisième cycle organisé par la School of Oriental and African Studies et Sotheby’s.
Si ses premiers centres d’intérêt étaient l’art islamique, indien et japonais, avec un accent particulier sur les textiles, son installation à Bruxelles — l’un des centres les plus importants pour l’art tribal — l’a amenée à se tourner vers les objets du quotidien, les arts de la fibre et les travaux de perles issus de cultures du monde entier.
Diane Hall a vendu des pièces uniques ainsi que des collections entières à des musées du monde entier.

Diane Hall has been a dealer in non-Western art and antique textiles for over 35 years. She began her career as an intern at the San Francisco auction house Butterfield & Butterfield and later studied in London at the graduate program run by the School of Oriental and African Studies and Sotheby's.

While her first interests were Islamic, Indian and Japanese art, with an emphasis on textiles, after settling in Brussels, one of the centers of the Tribal art trade, Diane turned her attention to quotidian objects, the fiber arts, and beadwork from cultures around the globe.

Diane Hall has sold individual pieces and collections to museums worldwide.
